That time Neyor got the TD ripped out of his hands IN THE END ZONE by a guy who wanted it more....he was dead to me at that point.i was first to say neyor sucked.
The non-catch right through his hands in crunch time against Cockeye stands out.
I think, now that McGuire is gone, tPBers can be honest about some of these WRs. Neyor sucks. We all know it.
It was kind of funny to pretend that it was all McGuire's fault, but hopefully now we can all be honest with ourselves and admit that players like Neyor are mediocre at best.
The McGuire thing was super annoying to me because according to our fans, no player was at fault for anything. Every single thing a WR did was because "McGuire never taught him that." It was so stupid. The non-catch right through his hands in crunch time against Cockeye stands out.
A few days later I rewatched the WiscyDicks game just to relive happier times. And he had 2-3 drops almost identical to the one in the Cockeye game. He just didn't get his hand up in time and very catchable balls sailed right over him. It's like he wasn't expecting the ball to come his way and was suprised when it did.

That kid will still go the NFL pro day and think he will get drafted because he has good measurables. Catching the ball still matters dude. The non-catch right through his hands in crunch time against Cockeye stands out.

By the Cockeye drop, I figured he was either horrible or on the takeThe non-catch right through his hands in crunch time against Cockeye stands out.

Donโt try to apply this analysis to the current DC/former DB coach eitherThe McGuire thing was super annoying to me because according to our fans, no player was at fault for anything. Every single thing a WR did was because "McGuire never taught him that." It was so stupid.
It got so bad Rhule even addressed it in a presser when he said "Our players need to learn that they have to make plays. It's not about the coach or the play being called, sometimes you just need to make a play."
I really think Rhule was referencing our accountability scale (according to NU fans):
99.5% position coach
00.5% the player
It's so moronic. Hopefully we can move past this with the 2025 staff bc I have to say, it was excruciating at times this past yr. Players need to make plays. I'm tired of blaming everything on the position coach.
I was calling that out at the time too. McGuire was getting everyone's wrath but Butler was absolutely skating scott free without any criticism. JB deserved criticism absolutely. I criticized him for playing Gifford.Donโt try to apply this analysis to the current DC/former DB coach either
I mostly agree, but if we look at something basic like the WR blocking it shows that it was primarily a coaching failure. Our WRs were terrible at blocking because they weren't putting any effort into it while McGuire and Satterfield let it happen. amazingly, after being on campus 2 weeks DH suddenly had the WR blocking betterThe McGuire thing was super annoying to me because according to our fans, no player was at fault for anything. I just go against the mob. Bc the mob among NU fans has a collective IQ of about 40.I mostly agree, but if we look at something basic like the WR blocking it shows that it was primarily a coaching failure. We donโt need him.No Nebraska mention
