The Dylan stuff is not something, but it’s not nothing either. Dean made reference to teams like Miami and Bama doing “strong agent back channel pushing.”

Basically this is what you would expect for any top level player in CFB until some guardrails are put into place. I’d read it as it’s not 0% chance he leaves, but it’s also not a really high chance he does either.

I have zero doubt that every contributor on our roster is getting calls from other places.

If Dylan wanted to go play for an instant national contender, he could have played for any one of them last year. But he came here because he wanted to help build a contender.

Just playing devils advocate but I don’t necessarily think “could have played for any one of them last year” is true. He clearly had a near-guaranteed opportunity to start here this year because we’re a shitty desperate team with family connections. Can’t say the same for good teams let alone title contenders. Now that he has a year of experience on film some of those contenders might be more interested in bringing him in now to play right away.

That being said, the family connections would make it that much shittier on his part IF it turns out we got taken advantage of just to get playing time as a frosh.
