talked to a buddy today and came up with this

FCS Schools are going to start looking MUCH more like the old JUCO teams that were comprised of a bunch of athletic rejects and trouble guys that you try to catch lightning in a bottle get a bunch of them going in the same direction and win a ship for a year. "We got 10 SEC transfers and are making a deep playoff run"

But yup there will be a LOT of guys that don't find a home. And they fail to realize that even though it's talked about more and more every year.

I think a lot changes for kids coming out of HS as well. Will be smarter for kids who can’t land a solid D1 NIL package out of HS to start at whatever level gives them the most playing time to build their film up and then move up after you’ve proven yourself. Compared to a kid who goes P4 straight out of HS, doesn’t get any playing time for two years and thus has no film, enters the portal with little to no options.

My buddy who works in recruiting for Kansas State sent me a picture of Hartzogs x profile and said “any good?” I let him know they should most definitely take him and that he always makes plays on the ball lol.

Sounds like I should just not worry about Husker football for a few weeks and then come back to see the roster changes.

Most of this will just be swapping reserve players for reserve players.
DC can pick who he likes. Guessing Rhule already has a good idea of who he wants

I've been screwing with the roster. Culling the walk-ons (minus most of the contributors/glue guys) and adding the commits as they stand today puts us ~102. Most/all the NA rated guys are likely walk-on types with NIL packages.

Going to take a stab at cutting some scholarship-type guys. The number of FR DBs is ridiculous.

Yeah, I was very conservative. A guy like Elliott Brown, for instance, is considered a major culture guy despite being a non-contributor.

You’d hope year three would have a contributor taking over his role and allowing him to move on.
