every D1 school has to get to 105, right? there is going to be soo fucking many players in the portal they're going to have to start a D1.2 league so they have a place to play. 80% these guys will never play P4 football again after they enter the portal and they have no idea.

You'd definitely want to have some sort of landing spot lined up before you went especially this cycle. I would imagine most of our guys that went so far have a landing spot especially the defensive guys. If they didn't do it to try and get more NIL but that would be a dangerous game this time around.

We started the year with 152 guys on the roster. We have a current recruiting class of 19, and with the possible addition of Cortez Mills, that brings the total roster size to 172. There are 26 guys that are either graduating or confirmed to be transferring, so we are now down to 146. Removing all the walk-ons (Freshman through Juniors) who are not on the 2-deep would eliminate 40 more players and get us to 106 (not sure if we would cut all these walk-on players or if some of them, like the freshman, are safe). Then we would need to roughly find an additional 10+ players to drop below the 105 and be able to add some portal players.

Khamir, Dante and Lloyd would be losses. The rest all make sense to find somewhere else to play. Bell no clue, he had promise before the injury but no idea on work ethic, attitude etc bc I don’t know anything.
