Roster management notes from Dean today:

***There is no need to worry about Nebraska’s scholarship numbers. The best way to describe the 85 is that about five players were eligible to move to walk-on status (not all can) and have. They then can enter into various NIL agreements. This was done a year ago with guys like Trent Hixson, Brody Belt, etc.

Two more players still listed on the roster have walked away but have not made any public announcements. That will play out organically over time. NU’s stance has been to let each scholarship guy make their announcement before removing them.

the 25 yo CB? That's possible, I suppose, but I am not sure they can get comfortable taking a guy that old.

It's our deepest position. It's a low risk, high ceiling type of guy, in my opinion.
