The standard game-week schedule will begin Sept. 3 after the Huskers' return from Minneapolis.

Regular in-season schedule​

• Monday: Player off day; Coach Rhule press conference at noon.
• Tuesday: 9:30-11:30 a.m. practice; 6-8 selected players available afterward.
• Wednesday: Evening practice; beforehand (~4 p.m.), coaches Satterfield & White, possible selected assistants, 2-3 players available.
• Thursday: Morning practice; Coach Rhule available afterward.
• Friday: Morning practice; no media access.

Imagine only having 8 padded practices and having to play a game.

Maybe that’s just the norm today I guess. But at that level it seems like you’d want at least 12-14 at minimum to get the body used to the hits and closer to real speed.

Full pads in todays world literally means…put on your knee pads. That’s it’s.

When they’re in shells (helmet and shoulder pads), they’re all wearing girdles. So basically full pads.

Good to know. That makes me feel better. I never wore knee or thigh pads in highschool except in games. I assumed they were rolling helmets only which was always useless to me as no one gave two shits about those practices.
