I have been assuming for a while that a few of the guys who redshirted weren't gonna make it and would leave. There are always some dudes who can't adjust to the new surroundings and college just isn't for them.

I'm not saying that about Fields because I have no idea. But there are always guys that this just isn't gonna work with.

I'm not saying that about Fields because I have no idea. But there are always guys that this just isn't gonna work with.

This is how it will work every year for Freshmen, especially the “developmental” guys. You don’t have to be ready to play a major role as a developmental guy in year 2 but they’ll know if you can make it or not after spending a year with you. If you haven‘t shown enough promise or maturity to be able to meet that promise, you’ll be processed for another HS developmental guy.

That'd suck if the Fields news was true. The staff was universally talking about him on signing day as a steal and an early impact guy - I thought we'd see him flash a few times already this year, but obviously that didn't really happen.
