The local national affiliates here in MT often over ride national broadcast games (NU as well as others at times) for infomercials. Not shitting. I have had to scramble many times to try to find a way of watching a game - usually I ended up watching on my laptop or phone on some TV app (which will be showing the game as it is not a local affiliate on the app). Now I have an easier solution - on my Nvidia Shield pro streaming box, I have an android internet browser app and use a streaming site (not gonna type out the name of the site) that shows all live sports. Whether NCAA, NFL, MLB, boxing, MMA, soccer - all of it. Sure, the feeds aren't 4K and the frame rate is a bit slower, but it is more than watchable. I do the same for NFL games if I want to watch one. There are only 3 NFL games shown on the locals here on Sundays, so I can watch any game I want this way considering my choice on the locals is only 3 games on Sunday afternoons. Works great.
Back to the local national affiliates here - they always over ride any game on saturday if Montana State or Univeristy of Montana is playing. Those games take preference to the local people, which I can say is at least understandable. But putting on an infomercial in place of nationally televised games is some real BS. I have called the local affiliate stations (and also emailed them) about the infomercial thing. One of the station managers told me they are just giving the viewers what they prefer to watch. Sure, man. People prefer to watch an infomercial.
