I really doubt that T White is that hot of a HC candidate after only 1 season as our DC. Plus, let's be honest, our defense was okay and a mass improvement compared to the past 5 years under Chins, but it was not that great either, especially when it mattered.

I think the attention catcher with White is what he did with what he had to work with. The national perception is we had horrible talent on defense when he got here. Not true of course. Just unmotivated and undeveloped talent for the most part.

You can tell we had the talent last year and the defense was finally clicking when Busch took over. Nevertheless, I think White would be a great HC someday, but he probably needs more mentoring first before taking over a program. I'd be happy if he stayed here and take over once Rhule gets called home to Pedo State while taking Satt with him.

Gotcha. Kinda interesting if true. I don't know much about upstate NY but I can't imagine its politics and culture are all that comparable to NYC... If a place like that is so "liberal" to him that he would send his kids 1,000 miles away for school, I wonder why he would even entertain going to CA at all? Seems pretty weird to me, but if he self-eliminates some of his options and he stays at NU longer that's cool with me haha.

Keep in mind I know nothing, but he could leave the family in Nebraska in this scenario.

I don't see taking an interview as a big deal. There's no reason not to at least do an interview if he plans on being a head coach someday.
