I was a little surprised we didn't see Curtis when Mast was clearly on dead legs

Was wondering about a line up with both Mast and Curtis on the floor to counter teams with big productive front court players. (Like Illinois) Not sure it makes much sense or would work that well when Mast is at 75% with no legs. But when both players are 100% it could be a different look, especially defensively. IDK, just thinking out loud…

Ultimately, this loss probably doesn't change much other than Purdue becomes more important. We needed help for the regular season BIG anyway.

Need to go 7-2 or better and win the BIG tourney to get a 1. Need to get to the champ game for a shot at a 2. Otherwise, we'll probably end up as a high 3 seed.

when Illinois has 3 legit 7 footers who all weigh about 2457356 lbs and can shoot, puts a little more light on the buzzer beater win compared to the lose yesterday. Illinois is on a heater

I love this team but reality is setting in a bit. We have proven that we can play with anyone but that doesn't necessarily equate to a top 5 team. I'm enjoying the ride and am excited to see how this thing ends for this team. We all knew that we would lose eventually and no one should be shocked that we have lost two in a row to two very talented teams. Rutgers is a big game for us with Purdue on the horizon. Need to get this very losable game!

Reality is, 20-0 earned a top 5 ranking, as it should have.

Reality is, 20-2 earned a #9 ranking, as it should have.

IMO, this is a top 12 team and has proven that thru 22 games. Losing at Michigan and home to Illinois (split home/away) is nothing to be ashamed of and has nothing to do with "reality". It's sports, really good teams lose all the time, as do elite teams.

We will beat most any team that doesn't know how to play real basketball.

We will have our hands full with teams with more talent that know how to play real basketball.

Don't disagree with the rankings. I didn't say anything about being ashamed, nor do I believe we are elite. But we are definitely a dangerous opponent for anyone who is "elite." I predict when it's all said and done we are a 3-5 seed in the tourney. Great for us average for the elite powerhouses in basketball. We can do a lot of damage from those seeds. Will be fun to watch.

We need refs to start calling the bs holding and grabbing stuff on and away from the ball. Our last two opponents neutered Prices's game with that kind of shenanigans. Some of it is acceptable physical play, but it's becoming more and more often.

If team's are allowed to do that defensively. It's going to be a lot tougher to play "real basketball."

I need to re-watch the game w/o distraction

There is some egregious stuff and a lot more pestering...But all of it takes it's toll when your running and cutting as much as we do. This week off should help us get our legs under us again. And hopefully we get our depth back. Tough to shoot the deep ball when you're exhausted. We also need to work to draw more fouls, whatever it takes we have to get to the line more than we have the last two games

The week off came at the most ideal time of the schedule. It should also be noted that following the Rutgers game on Saturday, Nebraska only has 3 more road games the rest of the season. To put that into perspective, Michigan still has 6 road games to play.

Oh by the way, don't ever let anyone tell you the Big Ten doesn't cater to its "front runners." Purdue is the only team in the Big Ten that has two home stands of 3 straight Big Ten home games.

Facing Michigan, Indiana, and Michigan State back to back is tough stretch for any team. So of course the Big Ten makes that a stretch of 3 straight home games for Purdue.
