We’re playing probably one of the few teams that can move the ball and pass the ball well enough to beat our defense though. Illinois in my book is probably the best overall team in the conference. I know if Michigan is hitting on all cylinders probably beat this team, but they are like us with their ball movement, but overall more talented. This is a really good basketball team that we can’t beat if we have one of our best players go 0-9 in a game .

I recognize who they are and what they are about. And, in the second half, our defense was really bad today.

It affects our offensive transitions and who we are on that side of the ball.

I know what you’re saying. I just think it has more to do with how good Illinois is than how bad our defense was. I thought they were hustling and contesting shots as best they could against these guys. Illinois just got incredibly lucky on some ball bounces, and rebounds and even on contested shots, they didn’t miss. Got to tip your hat to them and move on.
