25-26 Husker wrestling

I don’t think Lancaster County can release him. He’s booked for extradition, so the county in Texas has to come up and get him. That could take awhile potentially, then needs to go through the process in Texas to get bail set, etc.
Or the county cuts a deal for him to have appear again with some extra penalties and stipulations, probably not worth their resources to come up and get him themselves

From what I’m hearing it’s nothing that should make him miss the season

I agree will buttlicker I think he’ll be in the lineup friday
Consider me curious then because if its an extraditable warrant out of Texas, that tells me there's some weight to it. Most of the time with minor things you'll see then as in-state pick up only or surrounding states only.

If he has a bench warrant for skipping a court date then I’m thinking they might be inclined to not cut a deal.

If he posts bail? Hard to tell without knowing the charges. Any more details mentioning felony or misdemeanor?

Coach Manning going through his TO arch to win at the end of his career. 😆

Let this boy stay in Nebraska and continue to do the thing that's keeping him on the straight and narrow. His only issues happen OUT of season...you want to be the Judge that takes his season away and watch him go on a spree? The responsible thing to do is let him win his Natty.

On Ravi and DB's show this morning, Manning said they're working on getting this moved down to a misdemeanor today. And then he gave the Osbourne, "Young kids will make mistakes answer. We have to help them learn."

He isn't going anywhere.

Nebraska wrestler AJ Ferrari has been criminally indicted in Texas and is set to make a first court appearance on the felony on Feb. 6.

According to Collin County, Texas, court records, Ferrari was indicted late last week for evading arrest with a vehicle, a charge punishable by two to 10 years of incarceration and a $10,000 fine, if he's convicted.

Nebraska coach Mark Manning appeared to downplay the criminal case based on comments he made earlier in the day on Wednesday.
"He took care of everything. He went down to Texas that next day and handled his business. I wished he would have handled it in October, but he handled it this time. It's just one of those things. He's pretty much all done with it," Manning said, calling it a teachable moment.

Ferrari, 24, went to Texas on Jan. 13 to resolve the warrant that had been issued for his arrest there after it led to a weekend in the Lancaster County jail following a traffic stop by a Nebraska State Patrol trooper.

Ferrari got a speeding ticket for going 90 mph on Interstate 80 near Waverly on the night of Jan. 9, and he was arrested on the Texas warrant.
A Lincoln judge allowed him to post bond to clear up the warrant.
On Jan. 13, Ferrari appeared for a hearing before a magistrate judge there.

Two days later, the Collin County (Texas) District Attorney's Office filed the case by indictment.

According to Allen Police, Ferrari twice tried to stop Ferrari for speeding and he drove away. After the first, he turned himself in 10 days later and took care of it.

The second time, on Aug. 11, Ferrari didn't contact police, which led to a warrant going out in October.

I’m so damn sick of Minto being the most non-Chalant wrestler of all time.

He somehow manages to never work too hard, while also being absolutely gassed halfway through the 2nd every big match. Dragging around the mat after stoppages. Standing straight up. Giving up easy finishes to takedowns.

You have Haines down a point out of the gate because he’s a dirty fuck, you get the first takedown, and then you find yourself down 2 and on your feet with :15 left in the match and you get one half hearted shot off and end the match flat footed and straight up and down. How you don’t press to finish that match is beyond me.

I’m seriously disgusted watching him. He’s too damn athletic to be so damn soft. Fucking care, fucking have some pride, fucking press a bit one time.

We have a bunch of really boring to watch wrestlers. Basically the entire team minus Hardy wrestles extremely defensive, low scoring matches. But there’s also low scoring matches all across the top of the big 10 outside of PSU.

I’m fine with low scoring. But damn, when it comes time to go - GO. We seem to miss that part more often than not.

Ferrari for instance - keeps everything tight, but trusts himself to make the match winning decision when the time comes.

It’s like we have several guys, but gosh Minto is the most frustrating because of his athleticism, that do every right thing until it comes time to decide the match. And I’ll never figure out why Minto looks absolutely GASSED every time I see him

I enjoy watching wrestlers who try to score. Ridge and Hardy last year were a lot of fun to watch, even Pinto who wasn’t on their level at least went out there looking to score.
