Nebraska football updated its roster and coaching staff listing this week following an offseason of movement on the staff. Couple notable updates and names from the end of the ’25 season:
>>> Dave Tollefson is now listed as a defensive analyst, with a bio that points to him being in that role in 2026. Tollefson worked with the Nebraska defensive line during bowl practices and head coach Matt Rhule had discussed working out some kind of role for Tollefson to stay on going forward.
>>> Special teams analyst Nick Humphrey remained in Lincoln following the departure of Mike Ekeler to USC. Humphrey had followed Ekeler from Tennessee to Nebraska. Matt Rhule said during his most recent Sports Nightly appearance that Nebraska would likely turn in-house to handle special teams, with Humphrey, Brett Maher and Josh Martin all having a role on special teams. Maher and Martin are listed as assistant special teams coaches.
