Taylor/Ellis transferring to Millard South

Public universities do publish salaries of all of their employees so competitors know exactly what some professor makes if they want to poach them, at least the university paid component.

But as someone who knows very little about FOIA, it generally seems like an interesting test case as to whether someone could access individual revenue share payments

The trend is that individual state legislatures are specifically making it exempt from their state's FOIA:

Plus other arguments schools are making to avoid disclosure:

Seems like a stretch on FERPA, but someone has to challenge that bad boy

If that nugget is true, why don’t they team up at some Lincoln high school? Trae (and possibly others) are going to waste a looot of time commuting from Lincoln to Millard daily when he says he’s doing this to be around the Huskers in Lincoln more.
So, according to Dean this morning, Trae tried to look into transferring to a Lincoln High School, but couldn’t get anyone to call him back? This is the most Lincoln high school football thing ever to happen to Lincoln high school football.

Dean:
2027 Nebraska quarterback commitTrae Taylor plans to live in Lincoln and attend Millard South next fall. So why didn’t Taylor just consider attending a high school in Lincoln?

Talking to Taylor’s father, JR, last week, he said they had zero success connecting with anyone associated with the top Lincoln high school football programs.

Also, he says the Taylor family may move to Omaha after all instead of Lincoln and commuting to Millard South. (Though he also added that Trae’s current commute to his school in Chicago is a longer commute than Lincoln to MS would be.)

Zero truth to that, unless it was East.

Just this week I had conversations with a few Lincoln HS coaches of those top teams. No one from Taylor's side or from Nebraska reached out to them.

Depends on where the communication break down was. Maybe they called the admin offices and word never got to the FB coach.

They were working with Nebraska on placement, Nebraska would have had direct lines to the HC's office phone, email, and cell phone.

At all top programs? Programs is plural. All top programs had the same communication breakdown. I smell bs and know Dean loves laying cover for the program.

"He just had to go to Millard South. He didn't have a choice"

I have a very exciting rock that is shaped like a chimney for sale. DM if interested. Western Union or Crypto only pls

Right. Programs is indeed plural. Which actually does not mean "all." It means more than one. It could mean two.

And maybe one of them was East. They had the highest NSAA point average of any Lincoln school last year, after all. Could be considred a top Lincoln program.

Just passing along what Dean reported. I'm just as in the dark as you are as to the details of what actually happened. Though I am not sure how Dean making this up whole cloth would be laying cover for the program. I don't see why the program needs any cover on this.

The top programs are SE, East, and North Star. I refuse to put East or SE on top. Both refuse to play us in regular season. We would have more than likely beat both last year and year prior.

For cover it's because local schools don't have a good relationship with Nebraska and these transfers made it worse.

In the last 2 weeks Cockeye, Minnesota, Penn State, Missouri, KSU, Kansas, ND, NDSU, SD, SDSU all stopped by Lincoln and Omaha area high schools for athlete workouts and handout junior day invites. Nebraska hasn't. They require the kids to go to them for a camp first. Not implying there should offer anyone, just that perception.

Which is stupid because there's absolutely zero reason the Nebraska Football program should feel entitled to anything, recruiting wise.
