Sherrone Moore fired for cause...

I don't get how men can keep ruining there lives for 3 minutes of gratification...make it make sense.
Signed - Everyone on TPB at one point (or more) in their lives.

Edit - not with an employee of current employer. Just plowing when it was appropriate. Because you know...I don't do those things to cute co-workers as a married man. LOL

Sherrone Moore has been fired as Michigan head coach, On3’s Pete Nakos reported. He took over for Jim Harbaugh in 2024 and led the Wolverines to a 16-8 record in the full-time role.

On3 confirmed Wolverines players were abruptly called for a team meeting, where they learned of the news. Michigan AD Warde Manuel then announced the decision was for cause after a university investigation found “credible evidence that Coach Moore engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member” in a statement. Biff Poggi will serve as the interim head coach.

Kalen Deboer

Currently in his second season with the Crimson Tide, Kalen DeBoer was rumored to be tied to the Penn State opening earlier this cycle. That was never going to be a factor. But DeBoer will surely be a factor in the Michigan search, sources have told On3. He has consistently won as an FBS head coach, bringing Washington to a CFP title game berth and now having Alabama in the playoff in his second season in Tuscaloosa. He would have been a popular name at Michigan when Sherrone Moore was hired, but he accepted the Alabama job before the Wolverines were in the market.

Brian Kelly

The former Notre Dame head coach was fired at LSU in October. But that won’t stop Michigan from taking a look at Brian Kelly, who will be one of the top available coaches this cycle. He is 297–109–2 as a head coach and brought the Fighting Irish back to national relevance.

Lincoln Riley

The former Oklahoma head coach went 9-3 this season at USC. Lincoln Riley has worked to bring the Trojans back into the spotlight. He’s come close, a Pac-12 title win away from crashing the College Football Playoff in 2022. Will he be pulled away to lead Michigan?

Jesse Minter

Jesse Minter followed Jim Harbaugh to the NFL following the national title in 2023. His Michigan defensive unit was the top-ranked defense in the country in 2023, allowing just 247.0 total net yards per game en route to a College Football Playoff National Championship, and ranked No. 2 in the nation over his two-season span as defensive coordinator (268.8). A rising star, Minter was a finalist for the Broyles Award in 2022, an honor annually presented to the top assistant coach in college football.

Eli Drinkwitz

Eli Drinkwitz has emerged as a program builder at Missouri. The former App State head coach is 46–28 in six seasons with the Tigers after going 12–1 in one season with the Mountaineers. He won 10 or more games in back-to-back seasons. A name associated with the Florida and Penn State searches, he announced a new contract extension with Missouri on Thanksgiving Day. But that won’t hold him back from being a name at Michigan. The 42-year-old head coach is 29-9 in the last three seasons. His ability to win at a consistent level will be attractive.
