I don’t care a whole lot in the comparison between Miami and ND; they both earned it more than Bama. That’s where my axe to grind lies.I agree. If you re-read my post, I was effectively saying Miami and Bama is better than ND and Bama, which is what I thought would happen.
What about 16 conferences with 8 teams and an 11 game regular season schedule…Hear me out:
12 conferences of 10 teams organized by region
Winner of each conference goes to the playoff
I’m just super jacked to watch OU/Bama, again.
Those nerds couldn’t at least drop bama down to 10I’m just super jacked to watch OU/Bama, again.
that's 2-3x more teams than need to be involvedHear me out:

I am more excited to watch Tulane and Ole Miss again! Can’t wait to see if the Wave can lose by less than the 35 they lost by the first time!
Lane will probably send everything he can to Tulane out of spite.I am more excited to watch Tulane and Ole Miss again! Can’t wait to see if the Wave can lose by less than the 35 they lost by the first time!
Definitely but then you’re talking about kicking teams out, and I don’t know how that worksthat's 2-3x more teams than need to be involved
Why do these teams Tulane and Alabama deserve a second chance at a team that already beat them earlier this year? Especially raw deal for OU. Ole Miss be like… “ok, I’ll hit that thing again”
This is a conference championship game where only 2 teams earn there way into that game. No committee involved whatsoever. Playoffs are different. You don’t have to rematch teams, yet they choose to have 2 rematch games? WTF?
I mean, it’s about what you want. Rematches in the NFL happen all the time. Divisional teams always play twice each year. Sometimes a third time in the playoffs.
I don’t mind rematches, including the OU Bama rematch. Tulane has no business being in though.
But do you want NFL light or do you want something more unique? If the latter, scrap the playoff all together and go back to the pre-BCS bowl game format. Let polls decide the Mythical National Championship. Of course that will never happen due to money, but if we’re going to have a playoff, there will be rematches. If you want a playoff, you need to accept that.
You mean like when Nebraska got tea bagged by Colorado and still made the national championship game?Getting tea bagged on national tv used to mean something - it doesn’t anymore
We did take nonstop heat from the media for that the entire month leading up to the game, fwiw. You mean like when Nebraska got tea bagged by Colorado and still made the national championship game?
Haha Nebraska got in because of multiple conf championship upsets. If that was Alabama’s only loss then of course no one would care if they were in the playoff, genius !You mean like when Nebraska got tea bagged by Colorado and still made the national championship game?
