His career here was interesting. Every time I thought the o line turned a corner they would turn around and implode. To his credit he helped Pritchett become a strength by the end of the year rather than a liability.
When we went up against a real D line though we were utterly outclassed every time.
My complex algorithms tell me that we get about 35% of player and coach potential. This means that we need to be elite at every coaching position to overcome this. Even if we were to somehow overcome this deficiency the diversity refs with be there to keep us from prosperity.

I'm really ok with moving on from Donnie - probably the right move.
But I don't think it was as obvious as everyone likes to pretend. I think he was really good on the run game and excellent with the IOL. But the OT play was definitely poor in his tenure.
Personally, I was hoping that Satterfield was the one who was going to be moving on and then we could bring Ferentz in to coach the TEs and OTs. But, like I said, I am very ok with moving on and hiring a stud in his place.

Again, I think we probably net upgrade here and am very ok with this move. But he was far from incompetent. He was great in the run game and with the interior guys.
