Editorial Looking Ahead: What Does Rhule Really Have to Build On Going Into Year 4?

Why don’t we just have everyone come back, including DR, TJ, Emmet, the WR, and then spend big money one offensive and defensive lineman, linebackers, maybe a safety and corner, another running back.

And then get an elite defensive coordinator and elite o-line coach and then we just go out and dominate in 2026?

It’s so easy guys.

Just do everything right and don’t do anything wrong. It’s not complicated.

When we start losing dudes to the portal left and right, i wonder if we will regret only signing a HS class of 10. We might need to go get 15-20 + dudes in the portal to meet numbers when transfers start flying out
Good. We are a young team, the more proven players we can get in the program the better.

Barney was congratulating Larry miles for signing today.
Mchgahee is posting about his Nebraska nil shit on insta.
Shavers has given zero indication of leaving
I’m glad Mchgehee is posting about NIL all over his insta… he certainly deserves it after the outstanding year he had. He’d be the one i actially wouldnt care to see free up a spot

Well… I guess if he can ink a deal he’s happy with for doing literally nothing. Imagine what a good football player could get. 3D chess baby

We all but abandoned trying to stretch the field fairly early on in the season. Lots and lots of throws at or around the line of scrimmage got us the 27.7%, not ability to block effectively.
Weren’t people arguing after the shitty offensive performance against Cincinnati that it was an actual impossibility to throw a deep ball vs the defense they ran?

So the stats say the unit had a pressure rate allowed was 27.7% which was good for 26th nationally.

Dylan was last in pressures to sack ratio. I want to say he was like 34% of pressures turned into sacks.

To me can the OL get better at pass pro? yes

Do I think we are as bad as 95% of the fans think they are? no

One of Dylan's biggest areas of growth needs to be at pocket presence and having the ability to get rid of the ball.
There's a reason that our sacks went to almost nil the last three games. Dylan's inability to make decisions under pressure was the reason for 50% of our sacks this year.

27 sacks through 9 games, and it was really only 7 games as Akron and Houston Christian don't really count given their ineptitude.

3 sacks in the final 3 games against two of the best defenses we faced all year.

Right tackle was definitely a swinging gate though. Pritchett got a lot better as the year progressed and our interior line was solid all year.
