Not a bad job at all - Hartline's just been talked about for the last couple years as the hottest assistant on the market, linked to several P2 openings, and not someone I'd have expected to need a springboard.
Feels very identical to Frost to UCF the first time around
I remember the kleiman rumors a few years ago and one of the talking points was about how he wanted to retire sooner than later..

Can’t believe we had people that wanted Klieman or Leipold.
Kleiman definitely got hurt by losing Klein but Leipold is totally adrift without Kotelnicki.
Would LOVE to see this. Would probably watch every game.
They paid 2 OCs for this season so why not just bring in Kotelnicki and let Holgs leave for free?

Did we really want Hartline? He doesn't seem to be a cultural fit at PSU with the DWI's and do we want a guy with all those tats representing the school?

Laughing out loud at this, DWI and Tattoos is where they draw the line. The pristine reputation of PSU would have taken a tumble with this hire.
We like our child rapists to come in with clean bodies and clean rap sheets.
It does seem like the vast majority of the sports world goes along with pretending like Sandusky never existed.
