As far as I’m aware, we had cold weather in Nebraska in the late 90s-mid 00s and still managed to do okay.My other point is that weather and ability to practice outside is overblown.

I mean the HOF coach went to his alma mater.Hall of fame coach who left immediately with his first offer.
Michigan, 3 years after a CWS appearance, lost their head coach to Clemson.
Ohio State lost their head coach to go back to TCU as an assistant.
Lmfao at 30 years ago. Goodness.
I mean the HOF coach went to his alma mater.
The others did not leave because of weather…
Bakich left to go to a perennially competitive program in a conference that takes baseball seriously where he got a ~100% pay increase (even more now with his extension). He sure did, while denying them the prior 2 seasons. Alma mater be damned.
Bakich left Michigan, after making the CWS, to a warmer weather school.
Mosiello left Ohio State as a head coach, after 2 years, to be an assistant coach at TCU. You can say whatever, dude had his "dream job at Ohio State", but left to be "closer to family". lmfao
Yeah but there competition is other teams that are poorly funded. Nobodies asking them to beat Vandy and LSU on a regular basis, they have to beat Michigan and Maryland. There is no might about it, baseball is the absolute worst from a funding & NIL standpoint.

I don’t know what the OSU coach’s deal is. I wouldn’t think he got to Ohio State and felt everything was in place that he needed to be successful other than some warmer weather.

@BULLDOG10 said:Also I’d fire Bolt because he’s unable to build off of any kind of success.
Could not disagree more. B1G titles are nice (and not easy to get like some imply) but the goal is ALWAYS Omaha.Yeah but there competition is other teams that are poorly funded. Nobodies asking them to beat Vandy and LSU on a regular basis, they have to beat Michigan and Maryland.
It's more of a discussion about why we're not acting like we want to win a championship in various sports, including footballIs this now a baseball thread?
Is this now a baseball thread?
Maybe we can do another 58 pages of people debating whether we should fire a coach who clearly isn’t getting fired lolPage 59 of a thread rarely stays on topic.
I’m fine talking about baseball or other sports. Just wish new thread had started. My old brain can’t keep up. Lol
That was getting old too.Maybe we can do another 58 pages of people debating whether we should fire a coach who clearly isn’t getting fired lol
You’re good. Like I said my old brain was having a hard time catching up with switching topics. Always happy to talk baseball with you.I'll comply with your request. No more baseball in here.
