There wasn’t really a big hot candidate to go after this year imo. Summeral and Golesh imo were the best of the bunch aside from Kiffen.

It’s poaching season. But a lot of these bigger teams are going to be taking risks on guys most years fan bases wouldn’t be excited about. The portal kinda blows up the notion of people just wanting big names. Sorry arkansas isn’t attractive a big name.

Kentucky is tarded for firing stoops.

I have to think that holding off for next year would be most prudent for the majority of these lower end jobs. Unless they don’t care about HC experience and are going young coordinator - then do you boo-boo

Collin Klein would be solid at UK

Fleck time?

Teams make a leap 3 years after his hiring and three years after his firing.
To be fair, panthers have drafted well for the last 3-5 years and have built the roster up well. They are still short a qb worth a damn. But they should be a team for the next few years if they can get that figured out.

I wonder if some of these schools know something we don't, like the next the next wave of conference realignment is coming sooner than we think and they don't want to be left out

hot take maybe, but I think both sides are at fault with this Kiffin drama, no? Obviously the alleged threats of stealing the whole staff and players etc is crazy but to Lane’s credit he wanted to coach the team through the playoffs which is the best case scenario for all the players and staff. UCF let Frost coach them after he took our job. Ole Miss AD comes off as petty IMO.
UCF was still G5 at the time and it was pretty much a guarantee that someone from P4 was going to poach him. A lot different situation than leaving for an in conference rival right before your team is about to play in the playoffs.

That or schools are going dicks out in financing data centers with increasingly risky loan structures which will lead to the almost inevitable collapse of the economy.

Sorry. I meant the collapse of college sports
