Preacher RhuleI started watching Rhul's PC...I just couldn't listen after the first few minutes. He's out of touch with reality.

I doubt he fires Holgo or JoBubruh
rhule's made his own bed by hiring jobu to be his DC to pair with a OC who's had 1 decent offensive year since 2018
don't even get me started on satterfield, barfthel and donnie
this is all fucked.
I expect us to have a losing season next year, and it will come down to 2027.

I know I’m just saying everyone gets all up in arms how there would be “no one” available right now if rhule left when there would be perfectly fine options.
He's doing a lot of rationalization right now. I really don't want to hear any what if bullshit. Maybe if we are talking about one play that turned a close game into a loss I'd get it. But he stood there and listed a whole litany of what if horseshit. "If only these 20 plays had gone differently" Dude they just wiped their asses with us. The second week in a row. This team quit. And that is squarely on the coach.Preacher Rhule
I think for us to have a successful season next year you’re going to have to add a qb, rb, 1-2 offensive lineman, 1-2 interior d lineman, and some linebackers for sure and you better hit. We also need to upgrade some assistants. If Rhule has a losing season next year it’s going to be hard to justify keeping him.
The only thing that I’ll accept right now is that this team is young and there’s some talent here that I do like. But with that being said, the “We’re young” talking point goes away next season. Go win games.
Recievers and secondary as well, unfortunately need basically a whole new team.I think for us to have a successful season next year you’re going to have to add a qb, rb, 1-2 offensive lineman, 1-2 interior d lineman, and some linebackers for sure and you better hit. I think we can make our secondary work with better line play. I’m also not as concerned about receiver if you can’t block.Recievers and secondary as well, unfortunately need basically a whole new team.
Yep, and I don’t think Nebraska ever becomes a huge portal destination. Definitely not enough to build a whole roster. Even then it’s just dumb to spin the portal wheel. Hit and you end up like FSU with no foundation in HS and just playing the lottery every year.I've significantly lowered my NU Football expectations over the last 10 years. At this point, I just want to see improvement YoY and not be embarrassed.
Outside of special teams, I don't see improvement and we had 3 embarrassing losses this year. Today was an all-timer for me. Getting destroyed on senior day by a mediocre Cockeye team.
Most alarming is that we're not building a foundation. It's just "let's see what we can buy in the portal and win the offseason." You need to use the portal but also need to have facets of the team (especially OL and DL) where you develop players and depth.
Money talks. You might have to overspend some but the portal can level us up if our staff can evaluate properly.Yep, and I don’t think Nebraska ever becomes a huge portal destination. That "if" is pretty huge. I've seen little evidence that they can evaluate. Or develop. We need both to happen at levels we've never seen from this staff before in order for next year to not be a complete embarrassment.Money talks. Then you fire Rhule and move onto the next coach. If Indiana can use the portal to win, we can be better than what we are. That "if" is pretty huge. I've seen little evidence that they can evaluate. Hence why I voted out on Rhule. But I'm not the one to make that decision am I?Then you fire Rhule and move onto the next coach. If Indiana can use the portal to win, we can be better than what we are.
i know some will disagree, but I don’t see Raiola or Lateef being the answer going forward especially with the line Donnie has built. The problem becomes when one coach throws everything he has behind one year and builds his roster this way you kind of have to do it every year.
The best path forward IMO is to convince both Dylan and TJ to stay first and foremost.
QB - goes away if Dylan and TJ stay
RB - no way to spin this position group sucks
WR - need a guy
TE - eh… I’d be fine if we held firm
OL - we’ll probably always cherry pick here. Honestly, they did not play bad this week though and at times looked dominant.
DL- need a guy or two
LB - need a guy or two
DB - you lose a lot….. 😬😬
You probably need 11 guys in the portal. Which is fairly common for us. The unfortunate news is that in some of these instances these guys are tough to get. I’m not worried about WR, RB, or even QB for that matter. Those guys are much easier and honestly we’ve done okay with OL transfers. I’m worried about not being able to find the DL/LB we need and getting them up to speed in time.
My worst fear on defense came true this year. Which is that no matter what we did we simply couldn’t stop teams when they wanted to run on us and it often led to 3-4 yards a pop. Teams in this league (outside of USC) aren’t going to get bored running the football.
They can't develop, evaluate, or coach the fundamentals. That "if" is pretty huge. I've seen little evidence that they can evaluate. Or develop. We need both to happen at levels we've never seen from this staff before in order for next year to not be a complete embarrassment.
