I honestly don’t give a fuck what happens at this point.
But I’m extremely tired of Kirk Ferentz running an objectively better program than we do with not even half of the resources.
You don’t hear about Cockeye being shitty on defense ever. Why?
You don’t hear about Cockeye not knowing how to run the football. Why?
The people who won’t give to this program are completely correct. Until we prove we can beat the teams that we outspend it doesn’t make sense to give more to the people who have proven they can’t be trusted to make the correct decisions.
I would guarantee you if we were in Cockeye’s spot right now there would be more money coming in than we knew what to do with in an effort to elevate the program from “good” to “great.”
Those same people who aren’t giving right now are happy to give to Pickle Smoochers basketball. Why? Because they get results and it’s clear with the money coming in they’ll have a chance to win their conference

Thought the extension was dumb and said as much. Had to listen to all the people throw potatoes button. Now look at the potato heads.
Rhule hasn’t since the first season shown he could be an above average coach. You can’t be an above average coach with how god awful he is at game management. You also have red flag after red flag on coaching hires.
The ceiling with Matt even with a $35 million roster is probably 10 wins, with the 10th being a bowl victory.

We have a good idea what will happen. We are at the end of year three and you haven’t seen significant progress. What gets me is giving Rhule the extension before he really proved anything. Going off of prior history that should have been a big no no.

I honestly have no issues giving people long runways as long as decisions are made that are correct or bad decisions are corrected and learned from.
