I think organizations and individuals who are specially trained should be able to own pitbulls. That’s it. Also, strict liability, mandatory insurance, and automatic civil exposure for bites or escapes.

A lot of people get pit bulls as an extension of the tough guy image they want to portray. Danger by proximity.
Hope the kid makes a full recovery. I publicly shame people anytime I see them with a pit-bull. Euthanize them all and their owners
There is no benefit. Put em all down.
The only way to get them to stop is pull up on the collar and lift them straight up to choke them. These fkn dogs should be outlawed. Soooo many incidents like this. Wayyyy more than any other breed by a huge margin.

I’ve never owned nor liked the breed. Not sure what purpose they serve, outside of dog fighting.
Reading some of this, there is an interesting twist here in the South relating to pits. Owners here are typically not redneck white trash, but an entirely different demographic.
