Our track record holding or extending leads is awful. Penn St. isn’t going to lay down. Even if they did I still think we’d find a way to not step on their throat.

While I understand your point, I think there is a sense of desperation, distraction, and angst permeating through that program and city.
An early lead might drive a different response from that crowd and team.
