Rhule to PSU / Dyl-Gone Raiola Schizo Panic Thread

yah if i were to bet on it today I think he stays. I honestly believe him when he says he wants to stay and his wife likes it here, im not really sure if hes an option for penn st. The silence is defeaning tho i wonder if penn st really missed on everyone and just said fuck it
He just signed an extension and said he’s staying, quit worrying

Again, the offense was not exactly humming with Dylan. He was on his way to going 4 out of 5 games without passing for 200 yds. That is not a generational QB.

Dylan's M.O. was looking like: good series or two in 1Q. Absolutely putrid 2Q and 3Q. Then come alive at the end of the 4th Q to win the game.

I'm sorry but this is not Elite level QB play. And you can't blame this all on the OL either - Raiola clearly has made about 50% of those sacks happen on his own due to his really pocket presence.

but muh Michigan game!!111

oh we gave up a short field TD on a dumb pick in the 1st? and got 70 of our 300 yds in a garbage time drive against prevent? look the other way peasant

I get what you’re saying but I don’t think it’s fair to put the usc game in there. He had only two pass attempts before he got hurt

Which I still argue we recovered that fumble

Let's not act like it wasn't a huge gamble sending Dylan to Nebraska. 7 losing seasons in a row. Hadn't been to a bowl game in 8 years. Unproven (at the time) new head coach. Previous coach botched his recruitment. Not the most alluring place to send the number 2 QB in the county.

To send your kid to a school like that when he could have gone to Georgia or tOSU, it needs to be worth it financially IMO. I don't mind his dad looking out for him and making sure he is taken care of. The whole taking interviews and what not, that's weird in my book. Has "pageant mom" written all over it.

Just for the sake of argument/hypothetical, was it really a huge gamble for them to come here if there was a gentleman's agreement that he'd basically be the guaranteed starter? For sure he wasn't going to get that guarantee at Georgia or OSU.

Lindemeyer had it and clearly got it ripped from him by the USC guy in the pile.

When the ref pointed to USC ball, Luke didn't protest the call. Which makes me think he knows he got it ripped from him. If you watch the replay, LL just agrees with the call and walks off. Not normally the reaction you see if the person truly had the ball.

Personally, I think it was a huge gamble. From being committed to tOSU which regularly hits Big Ten championships to Georgia which regularly competes for National Championships to Nebraska that was on the verge of national irrelevancy. I agree, was 100% not going to be a starter at either of those locations but within a year or two, you're starting at a program that, at the time, was lightyears ahead of Nebraska. Nothing in Rhule's first year would have made me think we're where we are at now.

For the record, I am very happy with us picking up Dylan and think he has done a pretty good job on field and a really great job off field helping create an awesome culture within the football program. I would be sad to see him go but if he does, best of luck to him.

But, at that time and place, it was a huge gamble picking an unproven team Nebraska team over Georgia or tOSU. With taking a risk that big, need to get compensated for it and in todays college football era, that mean cash money.

He isn't playing over stockton, sayin, beck, or howard so I don't get this. He wouldn't have played there. I guess it would've been nice to get that ring with OSU last year.

That’s a problem I have with big ass piles

A guy can clearly have it ( has to have it in order for it to be ripped out) and by rule since he’s on the ground (or touched in the NFL) that should be it, should matter if someone ripped it 1 second or 10 seconds after clear possession.
