Rhule to PSU / Dyl-Gone Raiola Schizo Panic Thread

Might mean nothing. But you can’t deny that Dylan knows the fanbase and media will speculate and he, as of now, doesn’t feel the need to quell the speculation.

Because he knows the fan base will lather itself up.

He stays. Great.

He goes. Whatever.

We’ll have a quarterback and play football in 2026 and we’ll all be fine.

Pro-Dylan guy here.

Can we just enjoy the rest of the season and hope TJ plays well so Nebraska can beat PSU and Cockeye?

GBR!

If Dylan leaves, so be it. His dad has become a cum stain on this programs dirty laundry.

I'd be more worried if Rhule does indeed leave for PSU (I don't think he is). That would mean losing Trae Taylor guaranteed. Kills all momentum this place has.

I know the assumption with Dylan’s commitments and decommitments was they were at least partially driven by Dom which was off putting to a lot of folks. I also get that his nasty style of play was as well. He’s wealthy beyond most of our imaginations, fairly self/family centered and that drives people away as well.

Unless I’ve missed something, I’m not understanding your position with Dom. At all.

I'm saying the perception of how Dom shops his kid around in the offseason is what gives most people a sour taste in their mouth. The way he acts doesn't necessarily come off as having his schools best interests. As a parent, I completely understand making sure your kid is taken care of first and foremost. However as a fan of the University of Nebraska Athletics, Dom has brought us nothing but negativity surrounding his kid since he signed by shopping him around to the highest bidders in the offseason. This has been a detriment as Nebraska has had to commit more money to Dylan and having to miss out on other crucial pieces that would have greatly benefited the team.

Now all this to say, I am a Pro Dylan guy. I just don't think his dad is serving Nebraska and Dylans best interests mutually.

Isn’t all of this supposition? I’ve never definitively heard Dominic was pimping the kid out, post commitment to NU. I know he garnered significant interest from other programs last year, but I don’t necessarily lay that at Dom’s feet. I also don’t blame Dom for being in his own son’s ear. He’s been through all of this, granted different position and different time, but I understand why he’d offer his opinions.

I’m actually torn on the whole thing. I appreciate the fact that Dom did a sales job on Dylan about Nebraska’s history, fans, etc. and what it would mean to all of that if Dylan would be part of the group and maybe the focal point of the class or classes that brought Nebraska back to being ‘Nebraska’. He placed a ton of faith in Rhule and the rest of the staff to make the most out of Dylan’s time here. I have to wonder what I’d have done in his place. He had opportunities to play with perennial contenders and not have to suffer through the growing pains of going from what Nebraska was when he got here to what we all hope it is when he leaves. I don’t know how hard I sell the whole thing to him if he’s my kid, and I love Nebraska.

This off season could be a really interesting one depending on the results of the next three games. We win out with Lateef…. man. Dom and Dylan have to know he’s in for a fight to win the starting job next fall.
