did he dislocate a hip? that was the most awkward landing I've ever seen
Probably looking at a “femoral neck fracture.” That is the segment of bone that connects his femur to the ball that goes into his hip socket.

I’d be shocked if it was anything else.

In cases where there wasn’t a MASSIVE trauma (severe car accident, etc.), it’s very likely that there was an underlying stress fracture or bone density issue.

Oh man. The old Big 8 was the Wild West of college basketball. Norm Stewart, Eddie Sutton, Larry Brown, etc. I remember watching this game as it happened.

“Sit down Norm” chants.
Billy Tubbs got hit by a car once when he was jogging so when they played at Nebraska the next time, a couple of students wore jogging suits with tire tracks painted on the back of them. Classic!

I lived through that Slow Moe era until Danny got hired my senior year. We went from averaging 55 point a game to scoring over 100 points in a few games under Danny the next year.

I haven’t been following basketball, but are the other portal guys injured (Blue and the CMU guy)? I was just sort of wondering why they’re not playing.
Oogie is having back issues and Blue has played in all the games except this one. I think he is having trouble breaking the lineup.

It’s better for us in the long run if Frager takes a lot of those minutes.

Oogie from CMU is hurt. Blue kind of sucks. He has looked over matched by this level so far.

Regarding Blue, after he committed I read on Trilly's discord that part of the reason he committed to Nebraska was because Wisconsin backed off at the last minute. The reason was that Gard didn't think he was good enough for this level. May or may not be true, I didn't believe it at the time, but it seems to check out so far.

Yeah. Would be nice if the national media didn't try to speak the bubble into existence even though it's probably the most likely outcome. Just say it's a nice early season win and move on
Nebraska fans have battered wives syndrome
This team is way better than “bubble” talk. We are so used to being terrible that many have no idea how to process what a good basketball team looks like
They already have beaten & dominated at times, BYU
& now come back down 16 against a pretty decent OU team who was playing lights out & had us in a deep hole.
These guys are only going to get better, like Freds teams always do as they get more comfortable with the defensive sets. Offensively they can flat out shoot. As long as they don’t get killed on the glass in conference play, they will be in the dance safely.
