I got to fly with the team in 2008.

Bo Pelinis first season at Nebraska.

We were all told to stay in our seats the entire game from university employees.

After we got on the bus to go to the airport another university employee got in the bus and said “Tom is coming. No one talk about the game”.

Got on the plane to fly back to Lincoln you could hear Bo yelling. Was wild.

How hard can this be? Show up looking unprofessional, disheveled, and toss softball like questions and misspell quotes and flimsily defined takes…oh and put a recording device on the podium.

Later, regurgitate coach and player takes of the game and misrepresent practice.

I mean this with all the love…getting a pass would be like hitting the lottery and if you (we) did get one, there wouldn’t be anyone who would ask the tough questions more than one time.

Then out the door we go.

I agree that G should set the board up to get media passes under one condition. That when he does his first media deal from the field that he has to wear the notorious sparkly gloves for the vid.

It’s technically still there, but a “private” forum now that requires me to specifically grant each user permissions to see it. If you would like to be on this list, shoot me a DM. If it’s possible to enable the NSFW section for users who want it, could you also provide the option to disable the Parking Lot section for those who prefer that? The NSFW section seems to offer more comprehensive and relevant information compared to the drivel typically appearing in the Parking Lot.

IDK about this one even though I don't go there much - most boards have a non-football section, & you'll probably get a bunch more of that non-football content on the main board if you take away that release valve.

Plus what will all the libs do if they can't yell "take it to the parking lot!" every time someone posts something that messes up their safe space?

Good point. There would definitely be more political posts on the main board if the parking lot was gone

This board isn’t without the normal pissing matches and self important a holes that exist on every board, but for the most part the football board is football. I don’t always agree with what’s posted, but I appreciate the fact that it’s still got a much higher football to BS ratio than anywhere else I’ve been.

One concern I have on the ‘Cleaning it up’ end of things, is the gravitation toward moderation issuing thread bans as well as short and long term vacations or even permabans for things that are common place today. I wouldn’t want to swing too far the other direction, if you know what I mean.
