Its bye week. This is not the primmer league
The kid's having an amazing year, but the guy who wins this usually starts getting his type of extensive hype in August.
I wouldn’t put landing on 2nd team AA or All B1G out of the realm of possibility, but at this point we’d have to win out (unlikely) with EJ as the feature (very likely).
Regardless, happy as hell he came back and great year young man.
They did the same thing with AA batteries for Ameer. Its too late, they should of started hyping in August
Rhule mentioned it and then they tried to do a whole campaign in two days. The kid's having an amazing year, but the guy who wins this usually starts getting his type of extensive hype in August.

Looking at his numbers, they aren't really comparable to RBs that have been in the Heisman discussion in the past decade. If we’re honest, as much as Rhule and the rest of the staff likes EJ, I don’t think their collective expectation with all factors taken into account was a year like this.
Good for them for giving him his run, but at this point it is what it is.
I agree with your assessment of the Heisman campaign. I'm struggling to see why you think winning out is unlikely? 3-6 Penn St. and most likely a 7-4 Cockeye are left....?The kid's having an amazing year, but the guy who wins this usually starts getting his type of extensive hype in August.

It's smart to make the publicity push, though. It's a solid recruiting tool
Good point, push EJ's success in the program, push the brand. Doesn't cost anything to put out a few posts on social media. It's not about actually winning the Heisman. It's about showing your guys and your recruits that when someone on the team does well then Nebraska is gonna sing their praises.
The goal is to win hearts and minds.
