100% agree that Edwards is not a guy you bring in to be RB1. As an RB2/change of pace back he’d be elite tho.

You probably come up with a comp package to get him to stay if you really wanted, but probably not worth it. Would require a lot of up front cash plus maybe paying the premiums on an insurance policy for his future earnings in the event of injury. I know Rhule said he isn’t worried about money, but those NIL dollars could be better used elsewhere.
It’s hard to see EJ’s stock getting higher than it is this year.
You’d have to have a big nil deal to make it worth while.
Someone said his draft ranking is equal to Cam Skateboo from last year right now.
Cam was guaranteed a little north of 1 million and getting paid $645k this season.
Even with the injury he will be on roster for atleast 1 more year guaranteed unless he is just absolute ass coming back.
Base next year is just north of 1 million.
So for 2 years and his signing bonus he would make $2,723,040. It would he dumb to Nebraska to commit that much to him.

In a way, this is a good thing. It shows development and the fact that, hey we CAN get you to the league.

He’s getting some run for the Doak Walker. He actually looked faster the other night than he has previously. I just think if he closes this out like we think he will that his decision is pretty easy.

Averaged about 100 touches and 650 yards in his first two full seasons. Those would be solid numbers for an RB2.
To me…the biggest question with him is would he be willing to come in as an “RB2”? Methinks he would not.
