100% agree that Edwards is not a guy you bring in to be RB1. As an RB2/change of pace back he’d be elite tho.

especially after Rhule’s press conference today, I’ve let go of any hope of keeping EJ another yearEdward is dynamic and can go from the backfield to slot and be a huge threat. Would be a huge pick up, particularly if we can hang on to EJ for one more year.

This. EJ has a strong stock to go in the NFL draft, so why risk it for another season?EJ is not staying. NFL.
If we can convince EJ to come back next season, a guy like Edwards who is more of a speedster “lightning” back would be a great compliment to him.
You probably come up with a comp package to get him to stay if you really wanted, but probably not worth it. Would require a lot of up front cash plus maybe paying the premiums on an insurance policy for his future earnings in the event of injury. I know Rhule said he isn’t worried about money, but those NIL dollars could be better used elsewhere.This. EJ has a strong stock to go in the NFL draft, so why risk it for another season?
It’s hard to see EJ’s stock getting higher than it is this year. You probably come up with a comp package to get him to stay if you really wanted, but probably not worth it. In a way, this is a good thing. It shows development and the fact that, hey we CAN get you to the league.I think we’re past this though. EJ is gone

By elite you mean kinda ok, which is what he's been for his career100% agree that Edwards is not a guy you bring in to be RB1. As an RB2/change of pace back he’d be elite tho.

Averaged about 100 touches and 650 yards in his first two full seasons. Those would be solid numbers for an RB2.By elite you mean kinda ok, which is what he's been for his career
