Week 11 @ UCLA: Game Notes, Depth Chart, etc

Beat UCLA and Penn state and go into Cockeye with a chance at 9-3 would still make for a pretty fun year. Hopefully we implement quite a bit of QB run with Lateef. GBR
I've never been one calling for Lateef over DR, but I'm actually excited to see what he does with a full week of prep. He fits more of what Holgs has traditionally had at QB a bit better than DR, so it could be a pleasant surprise that Jumpstarts the offense.

Or it could be an absolute disaster and people be clamoring for Gramsted by halftime.

I imagine he will struggle and there will be fans shitting all over him next week. Our fanbase doesn't understand reality.

I'm sure you will be leading the anti Lateef charge next week.
I Dont Think So No Way GIF

We’ll be lucky to win one of our three remaining games
Unfortunately we’re now playing for next year with DR out and no one close to being able to run the offense like him. If Lateef was that fr qb for Maryland we’d be fine but we’re asking a lot for Lateef to come out and hold up as an 18 y/o in conference play.

How do they pick night games and why tf would UCLA get one with their record and no fanbase, poor home environment?

the late night slot is pretty much always one of the one of the former Pac 12 schools in either the Big 10 or Big 12. Oregon and washington play away games, Utah and ASU have byes, and USC is playing the friday night game.

So it was either us vs UCLA or Kansas at Arizona for that slot

Can anyone, for the life of me, explain why whenever Nebraska is forced to play a backup QB it becomes the Keystone Cops, but when the opposing team does it they are all of a sudden the 1999 St Louis Rams Superbowl winning offense?

How many examples in the recent past do we have of Nebraska having a comically unprepared back up QB?

Andrew Bunch
WR McCaffrey
Ryker Fife
Something called Chubba Purdy.

Meanwhile I remember Purdue having it happen twice when we played them and their next guy carved us up. A few years ago MSU played two backups and they both torched us. (Their backup this year would have beaten us probably but they brought Chiles back in)
USC last year.
Cockeye is able to throw any slop-arm they want out there and get a W 90% of the time against Nebraska. I'm absolutely sure I'm missing a few.

And we've been sold, by Rhule, that having this huge roster means more reps for everyone in practice, Huge development. So I don't want to see a guy appearing to learn the rules of the game of football real-time in Los Angeles this weekend.

Sorry, I hit the caffeine a little hard today and got worked up. Rant over.

Not sure. I am curious what Davila isn’t the backup to a true freshman. Maybe he’s not that good idk.

Our Coaching staff has done a poor job of recruiting QBs after signing "their guy." I will give credit to Rhule for continuing to make that position a priority, even after securing Dylan.

TJ is a considerable upgrade from what Nebraska has seen in the past. Only challenge for him is he probably isn't ready to jump into action right now.
