They actually had someone advocating for Fluke? 🤣 Literally can’t make this shit up. Can you imagine the Wisconsin athletic department when they get the call from Florida requesting to interview Fluke. 🤣 Probably think it was a prank call at 1st. 🤣

Might be the 1st time a school negotiates down their coaches buyout…

Florida: “I understand his current buyout is $5 million, correct?”

Wisconsin: “Ya, no ya this is actually really great timing for you. Just so happens we’re waiving all buyouts right now and we can have him on a plane tomorrow. You betcha!”
I think he did a search & replace and put Fickel name in for another coach.

He was doing a bit all week about how Fickel should be a top candidate at LSU and Arkansas etc. It was pretty funny.

No one is actually advocating for this trust me

I’m not necessarily saying their governor is an idiot, he’s probably not IDK. But I’m never trusting or taking advice from someone that sounds like English is their second language but was born and lived in the US their entire life. I think even southerns would agree that you can’t even remotely sound intelligent with that accent. Impossible.

It was hard to believe that was serious, and it wasn’t.

Life comes at you fast

Fired for hiring that loser Brian Kelly who went 34-14 for them
If someone went 34-14 here they'd get a statue and a lifetime contract
Sad Michael Scott GIF

Right? It's not like BK was some random out of left field hire who got a big fat contact. Dude was 54-9 the 5 years before they hired him.

He clearly wasn’t the guy for them, regardless of record. This AD was also directly responsible for hiring Jimbo at A&M. Two biggest buyouts in history. I’d probably cut ties too
Dude hired Sark, Chris Petersen, Jimbo, Buzz Williams, Kim Mulkey, Jay Johnson (baseball), and Brian Kelly.

All absolute home run hires on paper. Jimbo and BK didn't work out as hoped, but man that's a heck of a track record

Sad but true. That being said his record would probably be good enough if it included an SEC championship or playoff appearance. Did he even make the SEC championship game? I don’t think so.

I was not aware of those other ones.

Yes it is. Anyone who says they probably would’ve cut ties too should rethink that.

That's cajun though. It's wild. We used to host them in the Fall on our land and they would hunt, and we'd go fish for crappie on their land. Best food every single day for two weeks. Thick thick accents, and made us refer to them as Coonass. They were a trip. It isn't a Southern accent. Thats La for ya.

He did his 1st year. That was the game where Jalen Carter picked up their QB and held in the air until refs blew the whistle.
