Another way to look at it-Buffett is master of putting his money in position for the best return. Maybe he hasn't donated yet because that position hasn't presented itself yet. I'm just throwing out there, and I think Rhule if not jumping can get this team to playoffs. But, if true with Warren then maybe he's waiting on who he thinks is a great coach to invest in. More likely he realizes college athletics isn't an investment at all, and only for big time sports fans and people who want their names on bricks.
Buffett isn’t going to give money to athletics. It’s just not what he does. He’s not leaving any money to his kids. Again, he doesn’t believe in it. He owns one of the best jewelry stores in the country and his wife wears a cubic zirconia wedding ring.
Seriously though if you aren't going to spend a dime on a few luxuries what's the point?
