The BYU game is on my 40th birthday. I'm pretty excited for the game, and to see how we measure up against a them. BYU is going to be very good this year.

Happy early birthday Huskers! Agreed - this is going to be a huge test to see where we stand currently. One immediate read - BYU on October 18 will not be what they are going to be come March. It will be interesting to see how our experienced guys like Mast, Berke, Lawrence, Hoiberg, etc play against the more talented but more youthful Cougars.

I'll be there in section 106. Agreed, a team in October will be vastly different in March. There's a few highlights out there from BYU's recent scrimmage. They look like a serious basketball team. Dybantsa looks like he's 25 and in the middle of his NBA career.

His kid is my son's soccer team. Also coached his daughter last year in rec soccer.

Excited to see how we stack up physically. Both teams are going to be toying with a lot of lineups they won't use during the season, but I will overreact anyway. Should be fun.

It's an exhibition game, but based on how Vegas ended for us - Cale has earned an opportunity.

I'm fine with giving opportunity where it's due for an exhibition. Just stating that obvious that he's not a B1G-caliber starter despite Vegas.

Starter v off the bench, it should be irrelevant. Sam H isn't a B1G caliber guy either, but here we are playing good ball the last 2 seasons with him getting 23 mpg.
Whether Cale can maintain, or even build on Vegas, is what's TBD. And I'm glad he's given a shot.
