Nebraska vs Northwestern kickoff time?

Some of you that somehow always know what our kickoff times are going to be, can you tell me what time(s) we might kickoff against Northwestern? Trying to bring the family back and also get to Cockeye to see great grandparents but it’s hard not knowing what time we need to be in Lincoln on that saturday

I usually start with what will be big noon and work from there. But it’s a pretty shitty slate for both the big ten and big 12 (fox properties) so really I have no idea.

The real answer is nothing is going to be official until next Monday. CFB games outside of weeks 1-3 and special games like NU v Cockeye on Black Friday get announced 12 days from the kickoff date for TV purposes

If you want my best guess….

Big Windows:

FOX (12pm ET): Michigan @ Michigan State

CBS (3:30pm ET): UCLA @ Indiana

NBC (7:30pm ET): Illinois @ Washington (OR Wisconsin @ Oregon)

Additional notes….

Rutgers @ Purdue is at 12pm ET because it’s Purdue homecoming. Likely to be a BTN game

FS1 has two available windows at 3:30pm ET and 7:30pm ET. They have shied away from B1G games at night but that’s because of their baseball package.. we will likely see one B1G game in one of those two slots. I’ll guess Minnesota @ Cockeye gets one of these two slots

Peacock also needs a game and hasn’t been assigned one yet… I’m guessing whichever of Illinois @ Washington or Wisconsin @ Oregon doesn’t wind up on NBC winds up on Peacock

That leaves…..

BTN, which has a mid-afternoon window for football available, however is showing volleyball that night (NU volleyball at 7:30pm CT on BTN is already scheduled). I am guessing they will pick NU @ NU to have Nebraska fans already on the channel leading into volleyball that night so they can promote the hell out of the game from a cross advertising standpoint and kick off the game around 3pm CT.

Also…. This isn’t official but if NU can handle business this weekend (and especially if USC wins one of their next two against Michigan and/or Notre Dame) I am expecting USC to be a night game in Lincoln on NBC

The lack of definitive start times is really a pain when you're balancing a 9 hour drive. I'm still in limbo on my plans to come to Northwestern as well. I'm looking to bring the kids and would really prefer it be a night game for the spectacle.

I can't imagine BTN would schedule football in conflict with the vball game if they can help it. I would guess it will be an afternoon kick.

We’ve gotten the BTN football lead into volleyball treatment a few times over the last few years by the B1G. Certainly makes sense from their standpoint to maximize volleyball viewership if you think about it

I had the brief idea of taking in the double header with the family and going to the football and volleyball game. Then I saw volleyball game ticket prices..... Yikes. Friday is a little bit better, but Saturday volleyball tickets are five times what the football tickets would cost. We truly are a volleyball school.

NW game is 10AM in AZ which by then AZ should be the same time as Mountain Time Zone since we are smart enough not to change Clocks.

Some of those times are wrong. The NW game is still during daylight savings so it would be 9 am AZ time. I think they are just guessing
