Big Ten Expanding Again?

I really don’t see the point if Notre Dame isn’t part of the deal.
This. How many teams left out there that are truly moving the needle in terms of expanded footprint? Maybe KU, Duke and UNC for basketball, but that doesn’t mean as much in terms of money. FSU would be the other one, but seems like SEC is a better fit for all involved.

Conference realignment is an interesting time and predictions pretty much mean nothing because we are always wrong.

But if I had to guess with a gun to my head, I’d probably speculate that the Big Ten is after more geography and academics.

GaTech, Miami, Virginia, UNC, Duke, etc all make some sense from that aspect.

Selfishly I really want KU to get a seat at the table. I really fear that if the Big Ten and SEC expand the way I think they are, the schools left out will eventually become like FCS schools.

I don't know if they'd be able to move without KSU though. I could have sworn the last time this happened, that there was some kind of legislation that mandated they be in the same league.

How many more half-steps do we need to go through before they just get to the inevitable semi-pro league? Each round of this stuff just makes me roll my eyes. It's all gibberish.
