Ya know, as much as I obviously appreciate this place and @HuskerGarrett, there's something to be said for the "inmates running the asylum right under the dorky principal's nose" vibe of old RSS haha

You have no idea. The stories I won't tell...But he has a really good heart. He helps a lot of people. He helped me in life more than anyone else will really know.

That was one of my pet peeves, too. Board moderators and staff writers are two different groups of people.

There were all kinds of crazy boards back in the day on sites like Craigslist, Yahoo, ect. I browsed all of em behind the lonely glow of my little green iMac. I was on RSS, Scout and my fave was Tough Tony. The boards were definitely full of guys that had to have their wives help them with their computers! Good times! Everyone was convinced that next year the Huskers would be back! Now everyone is so beaten down, and used to the losing and mediocrity, that we just roll on and take it in stride. I hope we get back to losing our shit when we lose to conference teams, and stop saying shit like “we can still make a bowl game” after we lose to teams like Southbysouthwest Georgia! You probably won’t see guys like Hobokenjoe going off like he did anymore because people get hurt feelings to easy, and people get doxxed! The world too “pussified” for real honest thoughts to be revealed.

I forgot about the radio reads. They always found the post that either made no sense or sounded like a whiny bitch to read. It always seemed to be the same posters

I must have missed the popo bit. I remember he was a deranged sharer of other people's content who was trying to get LH/SIA to use their "connections" to get him a job. I also remember vaguely that he flipped a switch on Bo over night where he went from "dear leader will take us to the promise land" to "how could any of you believe in this fucking clown"
