so looks like we have our other big. seen him listed betewwen 6-8 to 6-9 and 235-245. Hope I'm wrong but wasn't overly impressed with his athleticism. Would have liked to have added a shot blocking athletic big

You’re way off he’s athletic as shit, only because I want you to be wrong
did some digging around. He played JUCO in 22-23 season and appeared to be a bit more quick twitch and springy. Nothing earth shattering but not bad for a big body. Had knee surgery after his first season at Tulsa. Missed games at the start of last season. Maybe he still wasn't 100% back from the knee surgeries. Hoping another year plus our S&C will improve his explosiveness. He does appear to have good timing on blocks but concerning when a 6-9 245 lb player only averages 4.2 rebs for a team like Tulsa that plays in a mid level league. He did averaged 6.0 reb/game & 9.4 pts/game in 22.6 min/game in the 23-34 season

Would be huge to establish a bit of an Italian pipeline too...some great younger players coming up through the ranks.

Make a few extra trips home this summer, king.

Awesome… hope it comes to fruition

Call me skeptical about the Italian kid:

1. He's going to be a foriegn player and only 17 when the season starts. Will he even be ready to play?
2. Assuming he's not, are we going to risk signing and then redshirting the kid?
3. I feel like its a lose-lose. We either sign an undersized kid who's going to come in and average 2.3 ppg and then seek a transfer or we sign a kid that will redshirt and potentially transfer.

I would love to be wrong.

Lotta schools are doing this. I have no idea if this kid is or will be good. But I don't see the downside in trying.

They are likely going to offer him and sign him to a multi year NIL deal. So it would protect us because if he comes in and doesn’t play he’s not going to go somewhere else because he won’t be worth as much on the open market as we are paying him.

Watched some of his YouTube Videos. Seems like a great match for Hoiberg's Postionless Offense. Seems to be a fluid athlete that finds a way to get to the hoop. Also good at drifting to the opening spots. Spaces the floor. Loves the Euro-Step plus has a variety of shot angles to finish on drives. Added bonus he appears to have good timing on shot blocking and uses body well for rebounding. I'd be happy if he is the final piece. Was hoping for a proven PG that could score & distribute but this is a talented player with a high ceiling.
