Radio broadcast said that Harvell wasn't at the game because he was out recruiting. Can't say I've seen/heard that one before.
Some tension there with Bolt taking over more of the offense etc?

I noticed Will Walsh was the first base coach. Thought that was quite weird.

Harv was somewhat demoted after last season with Sirianni taking a bigger role in the offense. Bolt getting more involved during the California trip shouldn't have any tension issues with Harvell.

Very, very rare for us to do it but it does happen in the SEC, ACC, B12 during weekday games. I think Indiana & Illinois have done it a couple times in the last season or two as well.

He's in California.

Harvell, if I recall correctly, is the guy on the staff who has the best eyes for talent. As a hobbyist when it comes to baseball talent identification (me always having 8 tabs of Baseball Savant up whilst watching games), I can tell you there is incredible value in this game if you truly can see things nobody else can.
