Just going to say this now, if the boys end up in Dayton and win, I’m not counting that as a real tourney win.

It's an NCAA Tournament game so it would count. However, I do agree with you both, it wouldn't feel like a legit tournament win. I've always hated the play in games since they were created.

Tournament went from 16 to 32 to 64 (circa '85), and everyone counts their wins - regardless what their seed is.
I'll count the win, until it happens in the regular field of 64, all because it's Nebrasketball.

The collapse at the end of this season was horrible and should require some heads.
How is he not on a pretty hot seat or gone? Especially when it really seems like we’ll be even worse next year.

One year removed from co-B1G coach of the year. Maybe they just let it completely fall apart next season to make it an easier transition while they line someone up. Who knows.
Yeah, maybe gone is too harsh; I am just letting my view of next year likely being awful affect my current view.

I’m with you. I would love to see them bring on a much better coach and then talent. Looking at the roster it suggests to me that Fred and staff aren’t very good recruiters. It’s a catastrophe as it currently stands and I’m not sure the portal for so much is a good idea with poor high school recruiting.

Imagine losing 2 of your top 6 players after the season begins, and still looking good to make the dance. Both were lost well before conference play began too. B1G women's projected to send 12 or 13 teams dancing.

Big Fred believer but something has to happen. Reduce salary + move it to NIL/rev-share, I don’t know. Figured he would elevate Nebrasketball to a different level, and he had the chance this season, and just completely pisseed themselves down the stretch.
Even for those who have wanted him gone, there’s no way THIS particular collapse was what was envisioned. One of the miserable watches at PBA (sans Pickle Smoochers last year) in some time.
