I've seen that he developed a good relationship on his unofficial to Notre Dame last year with Coach Tommy Rees - he became Alabama OC in February, and Bama seems to be entering the mix

My worry is that he might not be able to wait for the season to play out. Idk. Maybe he is so good ND won’t make him decide
