They would have hated it. I can tell you that Bryan Nardo is a heck of a coach. I don't know if it will work out at OK St because there appears to be other issues there, but I'm happy for Bryan. He recruited a linebacker of mine when he was at Emporia St. I have a lot of respect for his coaching abilities.

Interesting hire. He faced a ton of offenses similar to what they see in the Big 12 during all his years in the MIAA.

To be fair, Gundy has a history of these kinds of hires.
He hired Mike Yurcich who had been coaching DII for 7 years and all he's done since then is go on to be PGC or OC at Ohio State, Texas, and Penn State.
