On a somewhat related note, I checked on some Sooners boards to see how they're doing after their first losing season since John Blake in 1998. Man, there's a whole lot of copium being passed around, trying to rationalize and saying it's not as bad as it looks. 0-5 in 1-score games, I saw one poster call Venables "Brent Frost". 🙃

That and it shows the absurdity of NIL deals and how no player is a sure thing. He looked average last night and nothing from this season indicates he's a special player. Good - yes, great - I don't see it.
