Was this the last chance U guy? I remember being so excited when he committed but I can’t say I ever remember him doing much on the field
The definition of standout sure doesn’t mean what it used to but congrats to the kid.
Wasnt he openly asking for a spot on twitter? Pretty cool if he just finessed a spot like that.

Ex-OC Troy Walters recruited Mike Williams.
He was kind of forced to play out of position, as he was a slot WR his whole life.
Troy moved him outside because we had JD Speilman in the slot and Mike just never took to it. He got PT, but didn't have many receptions. Good luck to the kid as Grad Asst.

Never got to the Mike Williams interview part last night but the podcast hosts dropped a nugget that Matt Rhule had dropped by one of the Florida Gaytor spring practices. Talked a little bit about Chief Borders saying he was undersized for what FL wanted him to play. Wondering if hearing Matt Rhule talk while he was still with the Panthers helped get us on the radar with the 3 transfers from FL??
