Iirc the "official" reason for his dismissal was something to do with unpaid parking tickets. Everyone knew that was a load of shit. I was so bummed to see him go.

I know he's in a difficult spot as he wasn't expecting to be the lead man. But he was going to be a starter nonetheless and just hasn't seemed to show the consistency you'd want from a starter (really none of our starters have though). Offensively, it just seemed like he could get hot quickly...

It really seems like when they wanted him to focus on either pitching or the field, they picked the wrong choice.

I wish I knew what we saw. He doesn't seem to have much of a frame to grow into to me and didn't really stand out on his squad like you'd hope a D1 guy would.
