Yeah I don’t necessarily disagree there’s a bit more crime etc post COVID than before but it’s a city so the deal has always been to use common sense and pay attention. I’d still take some lines on the El at night (eg brown line) and others like the Red line have always been kinda sketchy...
I think this is a more accurate description of the SEC of late - ESPN hypes up their teams so the SoS looks better and then any time they lose it gets blamed on their gauntlet of a schedule or their disinterest in playing for anything other than a championship.
They’re for the defensive starters - if you show up and start, I don’t see how that’s less worthy than someone less skilled that takes two years to crack the line up.
I don’t think they were great hires but I also don’t think that hiring coaches that Rhule is less comfortable with in Year 1 would have helped / mattered.
It’s almost better to get guys who know the drill in terms of culture etc. and then upgrade after a year or two once that is established...
Isn’t Day 3 round 4 and on? If he’s top 100 that would be 3rd round + so that’s not much of a margin for error, I could see him being Day 3 pretty easily
