They’re for the defensive starters - if you show up and start, I don’t see how that’s less worthy than someone less skilled that takes two years to crack the line up.

I don’t think they were great hires but I also don’t think that hiring coaches that Rhule is less comfortable with in Year 1 would have helped / mattered. It’s almost better to get guys who know the drill in terms of culture etc. and then upgrade after a year or two once that is established...

I don’t know how anyone can look at his stat line in 2009 and reach the conclusion that he was remotely less consistent than he should have been.

Isn’t Day 3 round 4 and on? If he’s top 100 that would be 3rd round + so that’s not much of a margin for error, I could see him being Day 3 pretty easily

I don’t think the schedule point is true any more. It looked pretty easy to start the season but last I saw it actually ranked as decently challenging compared to some we’ve faced.

I don’t think we get 3-5 years of relevance insofar as we were irrelevant in 2023 even with the improved record - the good teams we played soundly beat us that year so it’s a bit of a paper tiger. If Osborne didn’t decide to retire comparatively young I’d be thrilled to see him keep it going...
