Field of 68 podcast had Dusty on. He seems like an ok guy to me. They opened the interview asking how impressed he was with Nebraska. Even he should agree NE made more of a statement in the loss considering we were down 2 guys and took it down to the wire on the road.

He made some bullshit comment about having to adjust to us playing small ball.

The comment that got me though was Dusty said in the 2nd half the refs let the players get more physical and that helped slow down our shooters. The "teams" adjusted.

IDK. Sounds more like he could be a douche vs. an OK guy.

To be fair, I don't know the guy or his personality whatsoever so maybe he is OK.

Dusty knows he stole one. He also knows that committee members are going to consider the circumstances of their win when weighing it against other Quad 1A wins and it may effect who gets the top overall seed or a higher 1 seed with an easier bracket.

So he’s got to talk this win up a bit.

Hoiberg and Loesner coached circles around him and he knows it.

Not if we have 1 seed aspirations but of course it'll depend on our final regular season record.
  • 29-2 all but guarantees us a 1 seed, regardless of the B1G tournament
  • 28-3, with a quick exit (lose quarters) puts us in as a 2 seed
  • 27-4/26-5 will put us, most likely, in as a 3 seed unless we win the B1G tournament then a 2 seed is back on the table
Reminder to everyone; this year, all B1G teams qualify for the B1G tournament. The top 4 are automatically in the quarterfinals like years past.

@SlumpBuster you asked about this, so here's what I have as of today. Better feel on this after next weeks games are finished.
Love it thank you

Oh, I'm aware of that.

Just not a fan of the +/- standing on its own metric.
I’d look at it as more a directional thing. If one or two players are huge outliers one way or the other then it can tell you something potentially, but it’s definitely not the be all end all, especially if a team has a really short bench like we did last night.

Gosh damn

I went the ER two years ago when I got a real bad strain of influenza A. I got so dehydrated that it put my heart into A fib. Was crazy, all of a sudden I couldn’t breathe. I thought I was gonna pass out just going up/down stairs so I went to the ER.

At 1st they didn’t know what was happening because my blood oxygen level was 100%. Then they put me on an EKG and found out I was in A-Fib. Crazy thing is once they knew what was happening, they gave me an IV drug called “cartisem or cortisem” and it fixed my A-Fib instantly. Like instantly I could breathe again, was weird. Apparently it’s a muscle relaxer that specifically targets involuntary muscles and it has a tendency to just shock your heart muscles back into proper rhythm.

Good news is I got a full bill of good health. Docs said my heart was perfectly healthy, LDL bad cholesterol was 73 (which is good apparently) and I don’t even need to take low dose aspirin, but I can if I want. The A-Fib was due to my muscles being severely dehydrated and this isn’t a completely abnormal thing. They see similar cases every year and it can actually be fatal. Often times when you hear that someone died from flu symptoms it’s because they got so dehydrated their heart went into A-Fib and then eventually had a heart attack.

Now… all this being said I was 46 when this happened and Mast is what? 23? So not exactly apples to apples, but it also not uncommon for the flu to put someone in hospital. Nurses/Doctors said I could’ve died if a waited too long before going to the ER.

or in this case, are you sick, or are you at risk of having explosive diarrhea on the court?

Guarantee we win at Michigan if Mast tries to play and shits all over Michigan’s home court and play is suspended for clean up and disinfecting. No way you lose a game when one of your players shits all over the opponent’s home court.
