Nebrasketball Recruiting Thread

So if he’s planning on walking on for basketball why is he only considering schools who have offered hom a scholarship for basketball? Thought i had read that somewhere, could be wrong
Isn't the deal that if you do both, the scholarship has to go under the football team? I remember Khiry Cooper counted against the football cap when he played baseball too.

So LSU basketball just straight up doesn’t even want him walking on? That seems crazy to me, they aren’t even good

Could just be Lane playing hard ball. He's an instate kid, he will get an extremely good money offer and he knows his future is in football.

That was back in 1974 Goskers. Rules have changed, but I have no idea what the rule is.

The scholarship portion doesn't matter too much anymore - now it's all about roster limits... walk-on vs scholarship isn't a distinction for the NCAA (minus the grandfathered dudes).

Did the scholarship logic transfer into the roster limit piece? Like would he just count against the 105 man limit in football, or would he count against the 15 man cap in basketball as well under the new rules? Grok says multi-sport athletes count against the cap in all the sports they play, so that'd explain why the basketball coach may not sign off.

Yeah document I found said they have to be listed on both but the launches into an exemption discussion so maybe it's something that schools can request a waiver for?

Most important for Fred, if you’re going to do this Hudson deal, you better make sure its a good culture fit. The kid is self centered as fuck on social media, will he be okay running on scout team year 1 if he isnt in the rotation?!

There isn’t one bit of selfishness in Freds current locker room, and i hope he continues with that culture he built and doesnt pander to outside sources.

Hudson is the #31 overall prospect in '27 for basketball. The only one higher ranked is Battie at #7. Davis is #76.

I’ll buy you a beer if he doesn’t drop drastically in the bball rankings when they do the spring update. He is not the 31st best basketball prospect.

He was listed as a 6’6 center prospect summer before grade 10. I believe he’s still 6’’6.. i just dont see enough handle in his game to run the 3 spot, and i bet he’s done growing.

Yep, out of the guys visiting this weekend he would be at the bottom of my list in all honesty
